Leading Standards for Quality

The Accreditation Oversight Committee is a major operating committee within the American College of Cardiology (ACC) that provides strategic guidance and oversight for the College's Accreditation Services and its supporting programs. The committee ensures that all ACC accreditation initiatives uphold the highest standards of clinical excellence, align with evidence-based guidelines and support continuous quality improvement in cardiovascular care.

What We Do

The Accreditation Oversight Committee is responsible for:

  • Provide strategic direction and oversight for ACC's accreditation programs.
  • Ensure accreditation standards are evidence-based and aligned with the latest clinical guidelines and best practices.
  • Oversee the development and continuous improvement of accreditation services across multiple cardiovascular service lines.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and promote consistent, high-quality care delivery.
