About Quality Improvement for Institutions

The ACC Quality Improvement for Institutions program provides assessment, monitoring, and evaluation tools that transform clinical data into practical solutions that can make a difference in peoples’ lives.

National Cardiovascular Data Registry

The foundation of the ACC CV Quality Improvement for Institutions program is the National Cardiovascular Data Registry (NCDR®), which offers clinical data capture and national benchmark reporting on catheter-based interventions, ICD implantations, acute coronary syndrome, congenital heart disease, and peripheral vascular disease.

Accreditation

ACC Accreditation Services provides hospitals with the practical resources and support needed to minimize gaps in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Accreditation transforms CV patient care and drives process improvement through the implementation of guideline-driven medical therapies, best practices, and evidence-based initiatives. Facilities achieving an ACC accreditation are committed to establishing a method for sustainable quality improvement.

Quality Campaigns

The Door to Balloon (D2B), Hospital to Home (H2H), and Surviving MI are ACC quality campaigns which disseminate evidence-based strategies and promote best practice sharing. Self-assessments, toolkits, webinars, and online stories support the improvement efforts of a nationwide learning network

Clinical Toolkits

ACC's collection of clinical toolkits and apps provide hands on resources to help facilities implement guidelines-based and best practice care
