Turn Structural Heart Data Into Better Outcomes

Transcatheter valve therapies continue to expand treatment options for patients with structural heart disease. As these interventions evolve, hospitals need reliable data to evaluate patient selection, monitor safety, understand outcomes and identify opportunities to improve care.

Created through a collaboration between the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) and the American College of Cardiology (ACC) the STS/ACC TVT Registry™ captures real-world outcomes for transcatheter valve replacement and repair procedures. The registry supports quality measurement, benchmarking, research and the ongoing evaluation of emerging structural heart technologies.

Why Participate

The STS/ACC TVT Registry provides a comprehensive view of the structural heart patient journey, helping multidisciplinary teams evaluate care and improve outcomes across:

  • Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR)
  • Transcatheter mitral valve repair (TMVr)
  • Transcatheter mitral valve replacement (TMVR)
  • Transcatheter tricuspid valve repair or replacement procedure (TTVP)

Build Readiness for Transcatheter Valve Certification™

Participation in the STS/ACC TVT Registry supports the data reporting requirement for Transcatheter Valve Certification. Certification provides a framework for strengthening multidisciplinary collaboration, standardizing patient evaluation, reducing variation and using data to drive continuous quality improvement across TAVR and transcatheter edge-to-edge repair programs.

The STS/ACC TVT Registry is supported by a broad coalition of health care organizations, professional societies, regulatory agencies and participating hospitals dedicated to improving outcomes for patients undergoing transcatheter valve therapies.

Through the collaborative leadership of STS and ACC, along with support from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI) and American Association for Thoracic Surgery (AATS), the registry enables the collection of high-quality real-world data that informs clinical practice, supports regulatory oversight, advances research and drives continuous quality improvement across the cardiovascular community.

The NCDR offers flexible data submission options, including a complimentary online data collection tool or certified third‑party software vendor. Learn more here.

If your facility is not yet enrolled, submit a Request for Information to connect with our team about eligibility, timelines and next steps.

Public Reporting helps institutions bridge gaps between science and practice to improve the quality of cardiovascular care delivery. Hospitals participating in the STS/ACC TVT Registry can publicly showcase their commitment to continuous quality improvement through voluntary participation in the STS/ACC TVT Registry Public Reporting Program.

Select measures have been identified with data presented using a three-star rating system based on accepted clinical thresholds and are displayed on the STS Public Reporting Page. Hospitals must complete a Data Release Consent Form to participate in the public reporting program.
