Quality Improvement for Institutions and NCDR Participation Social Media Toolkit

Congratulations on your facility’s participation ACC’s Quality Improvement for Institutions (QII) and NCDR registries! Communicate your facility’s dedication to high-quality cardiovascular care on social media. Review this guide for sample social media messages and check out additional ACC social media resources at the end!
Tips for Promoting Your Participation on Social Media:

  • We encourage you to tag ACC’s social media accounts and use the hashtag #NCDR on Twitter (@ACCinTouch), LinkedIn and Facebook to spread the word about your facility’s participation in QII and NCDR. 
  • Be sure to use the #NCDR hashtag and/or mention ACC’s accounts so ACC social media staff help spread the word and like and/or reshare you post:
  • The NCDR registry your facility participates in (i.e., Chest Pain – MI Registry, AFib Ablation Registry, CathPCI Registry, EP Device Implant Registry, IMPACT Registry, LAAO Registry, or STS/ACC TVT Registry). 
  • Hashtags: Include #NCDR, the hashtag for the appropriate registry, as well as relevant clinical hashtags based on each registry. See the full list of hashtags here.
  • Tag the ACC: Be sure to tag the ACC’s social media accounts. (Use @ACCinTouch for Twitter, @American College of Cardiology for LinkedIn and @AmericanCollegeofCardiology for Facebook.) 
  • Link: If your facility has posted a press release or news story on your participation, include the link. Sample press releases, as well as sample newsletter articles for staff and patients, are available in the QII Participation Promotion Kit

  • Graphics: Add a graphic or image to your social media post. Download graphics already sized for social media for QII and the NCDR registries. Or take images of your CV team working together to include with a social media post, if it meets your facility’s photo release and/or privacy guidelines.
