ACC Distinguished Excellence in Cardiovascular Healthcare Quality Award
Established in 2022 the ACC Distinguished Excellence in Healthcare Quality Award was created to recognize the outstanding contributions from CV Team professionals to the ACC's NCDR and/or Accreditation services. During the ACC Quality Summit 2022, Kimberly Marshall, BSN, RN, CPHQ, AACC was honored as the inaugural recipient. Nominations are open to identify the recipient for this year, to be awarded during the Quality Summit 2023. Recipient of this award will be presented with an individual award and recognized in multiple ACC communications.

Healthcare Quality Professional Awards Criteria:
The ACC Distinguished Excellence in Cardiovascular Healthcare Quality award is presented annually to a non-physician member (Cardiac Care Associate, Associate of the American College of Cardiology or non-physician Fellow of the American College of Cardiology) whose outstanding contributions have further enhanced the implementation and value of the NCDR and Accreditation services within the larger cardiovascular professional community. This can be demonstrated through extraordinary application of NCDR and/or Accreditation services in their local care environment along with volunteerism in areas specific to the ACC Quality Summit including and not limited to the planning participation, faculty invitation, abstract/poster submission, and Committee appointments.
To be eligible for this award, the member must not have received the Healthcare Quality Professional Award of Excellence previously. Awardees must have an active ACC membership, with preference to members of the Cardiovascular Team Section.
