An Important Message For ACC Accredited/Certified Hospitals

These are truly unprecedented times in health care. We realize the response to the COVID-19 pandemic is all-consuming for the health care community, and we recognize the incredible challenge hospitals and front-line workers are facing while providing lifesaving measures for their patients.

As you rapidly shift priorities to meet the demands placed upon your hospital's entire staff, we want to assure you that your ACC Accreditation Services team remains supportive given the present circumstances.

Knowing that each of our nearly 1,000 accredited facilities is now in a unique situation that varies upon location, we have developed alternatives to address variable needs and resource capacities. Facilities may explore the following options:

  • Data: Suspend Accreditation Conformance Database (ACD) Data collection, if applicable, until further notice. NCDR participants should follow the posted NCDR data guidelines.
  • Criteria: Facility Coordinator may contact their ACC Accreditation Review Specialist (ARS) or Accreditation Customer Care to review amended, ongoing requirements.
  • Accreditation Expiration: ACC Accreditation Services will grant extensions to facilities with upcoming expiration dates, if needed. Our Business Development team will provide options for these affected facilities. You may contact our Business Development team at accreditationinfo@acc.org with any questions or concerns.

We want to assure you that we are here to provide any additional assistance you may need. You are the only person at your facility receiving this communication, so if need be, please share this information with other leaders as appropriate.

ACC's COVID-19 Hub Helps Members Help and Heal
