Frequently Asked Questions about the Cardiovascular Care Coordinator Review Course

ACC Accreditation Services helps site coordinators prepare for their role of leading an accreditation program by offering the Cardiovascular Care Coordinator Course. Below are answers to some of the questions we are frequently asked about the current course and the discontinued Cardiovascular Care Coordinator Certification (C4).

 
If you re-certified in 2020, your C4 Certification expires on December 31, 2021. After that date, the certification earned through the C4 program will no longer be recognized as a professional credential.
No, it will not. The Essential Component (EC) regarding C4 is a Recommended EC and not required to maintain or achieve Chest Pain Center Accreditation.
 
While the certification is no longer available through the ACC at this time, the learning objectives of the program are available as an online course in the QII Learning Center, beginning summer 2021.
Yes, if you have already enrolled in the course it remains in the "My Courses" area of your view. Later this summer the course will move to the QII Learning Center. The cost of the course is included in your accreditation program fee.
It addresses the following topics: 
• Building Teams 
• Improving Communications and Building Relations  
• Leadership 
• Project Management 
• Performance and Quality Improvement 
• Data Analysis 
• Improving Facilitation 
• Financial Management 
The online course consists of eight voiceover PPT modules, pre- and post-questions, and an evaluation. The entire program must be completed to receive credit. 
Each post-test must be passed with a score of 80% 
Approximately 4.5 hours 
It provides 4.5 Certified Nursing Education (CNE) credits.
