About D2B

The D2B Alliance provides hospitals with key evidence-based strategies and supporting tools needed to reduce D2B times through a worldwide learning community. Check out the D2B Overview to learn more about the initiative.

Goal: To reduce D2B times to 90 minutes or less in hospitals treating patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) with emergency percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)

Launched in 2006, D2B builds on the lessons learned from the ACC Guidelines Applied in Practice (GAP) Program which showed that guidelines adherence rates could be improved by implementing standardized toolkits and systematic processes of care. By 2007, D2B expanded its reach to hospitals outside the United States.
